Puri: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) youth chief Somanath Sahoo sustained bullet accidents after being fired at by some unknown individuals in Puri this night.
As many as 4 miscreants reportedly fired bullets at Sahoo in Kumbharpara Police station limits of the Pilgrim City and fled the spot earlier than anybody might establish them.
Sahoo was rescued by some locals and rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital. Currently, he’s present process remedy on the Operating Theater (OT) of the federal government hospital.
Sources stated that the BJD chief has sustained bullet accidents on his head and neck. While the precise motive behind the firing is but to be recognized, previous enmity is suspected to be the reason for the crime, added the sources.

“An investigation with the help of a scientific team is underway. Police are questioning the eye witnesses and some locals. Besides, footages of the CCTV cameras installed near the crime spot is being verified to get some lead in the case,” knowledgeable Additional SP Sushil Mishra.
