BJP Objects To Odisha Govt’s Branding In PMAY

Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday moved Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal over the alleged flawed co-branding of PM Awas Yojana (PMAY) by Odisha authorities.
A delegation of the BJP met the Governor and demanded for a high-level committee for neutral probe into the alleged irregularities and corruption by the State authorities in allotment of homes to the beneficiaries below the Central housing scheme.
The Saffron celebration alleged that the Odisha authorities is appropriating the Central scheme and showcasing it as its personal. The State authorities is intentionally branding the flagship programme of the Centre as its personal, the celebration claimed.
The celebration alleged that through the preliminary levels of the implementation of the scheme, PMAY was being utilized in abbreviated kind whereas Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY) was being utilized in expanded kind by the State authorities. However, this was modified with abbreviations of each PMAY and (BPGY) expanded varieties.
