BMC prepares 3 non permanent ponds for Lord Ganesh idol immersion
Bhubaneswar: In order to minimise riverine air pollution brought on by immersion of idols, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ready three non permanent ponds, one every on the financial institution of river Kuakhai, Kushabhadra and Daya respectively on the town outskirts.
While underneath Division-II of BMC Engineering Wing two ponds have been constructed, the Division-I has constructed one non permanent pond on scientific foundation.
The dimension of the pond close to Daya River bridge is 50ft × 20ft with the water depth of 5ft and the second at Tankapani Bridge facet is 50ft × 35ft with the water depth of 5ft.
Under Division-I, one massive pond on Kuakhai river financial institution has been ready for idol immersion. The dimension of the pond is 130ft × 80ft with a depth of 10ft.
The three non permanent ponds ready for idol immersion have been supplied with non permanent mild association from method street to ponds web site.
The lighting preparations, completed by turbines will provide uninterrupted lights throughout evening and night hours for hassle-free immersion.
It will be talked about right here that the non permanent immersion ponds are constructed by the BMC Engineering Wing as per the stipulations laid down by the Central Pollution Control Board to minimise riverine air pollution and to offer aid for the folks on the downstream, who use the river water for varied day-to-day actions.
