Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ready a roadmap to make the State capital freed from beggars by rehabilitating the individuals concerned in begging within the metropolis. Moreover, BMC can be planning to shift homeless and destitute individuals to shelter properties.
According to sources, BMC will provoke a drive below which it is going to establish the beggars within the metropolis and shift them to shelter properties. It will try to make them self-reliant by launching numerous programmes.
BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Choudhury knowledgeable that plans are underway to arrange 100-beded rehabilitation centres in any respect regional workplaces within the metropolis.
These rehabilitation centres might be operated by skilled organisations, sources in BMC stated.
