Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police and Food Safety officers swooped down on a adulterated sauce manufacturing godown on Wednesday.
On a tip-off, a particular squad raided the godown at Pahala on the outskirts of the capital and located the employees getting ready sub-standard meals merchandise in unhygienic situations.
The raid workforce officers acknowledged that the manufacturing unit was utilizing carcinogenic chemical substances for getting ready the adulterated pickles and sauce. The chemical substances and hues used are past permissible limits, mentioned an official. “We are examining the process of procurement and preparation of the food articles”, the officer added.
