Debris in Odisha’s Barabati moat raises suspicion

CUTTACK:  Dumping of big amount of building and demolition particles within the gadakhai (moat) of historic Barabati Fort created confusion and suspicion within the minds of Cuttack metropolis residents. 

Actor turned politician Sritam Das of BJP, who had unsuccessfully contested the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) elections, in a tweet on Sunday, urged the native administration to provoke motion and take away the particles else the moat will probably be buried. 

Acting on the grievance, a staff of Cantonment police rushed to the spot and detained some autos carrying the particles. CMC Mayor Subhas Singh stated he was unaware of the matter.
