Director of agency held for Rs 7.31 crore fraud

BHUBANESWAR: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested the director of Shreya Infrastructure Services Private restricted Seema Nayak from Aska for allegedly dishonest prospects to the tune of Rs 7.31 crore.

One Debadutta Rautray had lodged a grievance with the company alleging that the managing director of Shreya Infrastructure Himanshu Sekhar Nayak in connivance with the managing director of Real Value Developers and Builders Private restricted Rama Chandra Patra had dedicated the fraud.

Induced by Himanshu and his spouse Seema, round 100 folks had paid Rs 9.50 lakh every to e-book studio flats within the Shreya Infrastructure Services’ mission Shreekhetra Kalinga Kutira at Sipasarubali in Puri district within the 12 months 2014-15. The accused had promised handy over the flats inside three years however they neither executed the deal nor refunded the cash.

Real Value’s Rama Chandra had supplied the land to Shreya Infrastructure and executed the overall energy of lawyer (GPA) in its favour however after receiving the cash from the consumers, the accused intentionally cancelled the GPA.

EOW officers mentioned the accused have swindled Rs 7.31 crore which was collected by them from no less than 71 consumers and the quantity was diverted to non-public financial institution accounts of Seema.A case was registered on this connection in December, 2018. Earlier, Himanshu, one other director of the corporate Gati Krushna Dash, and Real Value’s MD Rama Chandra had been arrested.
