ECoR Asks Passengers Not To Disclose Personal Banking Information To Rly Employees – ODISHA BYTES

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Friday suggested its customers to not disclose their debit or bank card particulars to anyone because it doesn’t resort to such queries.
The ECoR, in a launch, mentioned it has been complained to the railway administration that some unscrupulous callers posing as Railway officers have been asking the small print of the debit and bank card from the railway customers for switch of refund quantity.
Indian Railways, IRCTC for Railway staff by no means ask for any private banking data, together with particulars like debit/bank card quantity, OTP, ATM PIN, CVV quantity, PAN quantity and date of delivery at PRS/reserving counters/ready halls. Hence the ECoR suggested its clients to not disclose such particulars to anyone.
It additionally requested the railway customers to tell Railway Vigilance if they’re requested by anyone about such data.
