Ensure 100% Covid vaccination of healthcare employees by Feb 10: Odisha govt | KalingaTV

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha authorities on Friday requested the district collectors to make sure 100 per cent protection of registered healthcare employees within the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination drive by February 10.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra instructed the district collectors to ship a transparent message that those that don’t flip up for vaccination when known as on the designated date will forgo the chance to get free vaccine.
While collectors and municipal commissioners are conscious that the forst dose of vaccination of all healthcare employees will shut on February 10, it’s of nice concern that in some districts the share protection of healthcare employees vaccinated previously week (achievement towards goal) is poor, he mentioned.
The achievement is poor in 9 districts. The protection in Deogarh was lowest at 42 per cent, adopted by Khurda at 61 per cent, Jajpur at 62 per cent, Jagatsinghpur at 66 per cent and Nayagarh at 67 per cent of the goal.
Bhubaneswar Urban has achieved 76 per cent, Cuttack 76 per cent, Sambalpur 77 per cent whereas Keonjhar has achieved 78 per cent of the goal.
Health and Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi knowledgeable that the continued vaccination drive will stay suspended for a interval of three days from January 31 to February 2 in view of the heart beat polio immunisation programme.
