Ex-Constable Prasanna Behera in possession of DA value Rs 6.97 Crores

Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance has unearthed disproportionate belongings value Rs 6,97,15,057 in possession of ex constable of Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Prasanna Kumar Behera.
Reportedly, 5 groups of Odisha Vigilance led by two DSPs, six Inspectors, and different employees performed raids at 5 locations related to Behera on the energy of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

After a radical search, stock, and enquiry, the earnings, expenditure, and belongings of Behera and his relations have been calculated. They have been present in possession of DA to the identified sources of earnings to the tune of Rs 6,97,15,057 which constitutes 221% of their identified sources of earnings, added stories.
As Behera and his relations couldn’t account for the disproportionate belongings satisfactorily, a case has been registered towards him, his partner and relations at Bhubaneswar Vigilance Police Station on October 30 beneath numerous related sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended by Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
