Forest Officials Rescue 3 Owlets In Odisha’s Nabarangpur – ODISHA BYTES

Nabarangpur: Forest officers rescued three owlets of uncommon species from a nest in a tree within the district on Sunday.
According to reviews, an owl had made the nest within the tree on the yard of Purna Gauda of Majhiguda village underneath Papadahandi block of the district. From the hissing sound of the owlets, Gauda suspected that some snake is perhaps dwelling within the tree and felled it on the day.
While the tree was being reduce, two younger owls fell to the bottom and died. Fortunately, three owlets survived within the incident.
On being knowledgeable, a group of forest officers led by forester Umakant Patnaik from Maidalpur went to the village. They took the younger owls and launched them within the forest. The forester recognized the birds as owls.
The Forest officers additionally despatched the samples of the useless owlets to the Bhubaneswar-based laboratory to substantiate the species.
