India’s Largest Hockey Stadium In Odisha To Be Developed Within A Year

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Tuesday knowledgeable that the proposed world-class hockey stadium in Odisha’s Rourkela will likely be developed inside one yr.
The stadium to be developed contained in the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) campus would be the second venue for the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023. The event will likely be organised each in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.
“It will be India’s largest hockey stadium. The stadium will come up in BPUT campus. The construction works for the proposed world-class hockey stadium will commence within three-four months and it will be completed within record time of one year,” stated Mohapatra.
The chief secretary stated the works for parking and improvement of different infrastructure may even start from the identical date.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in December final yr introduced establishing world-class hockey stadium in Rourkela, which might be the largest stadium for Hockey in India with a sitting capability of 20,000.
