Jarasingha group conflict, 5 arrested

BALANGIR: Deogaon police have arrested 5 individuals in reference to the group conflict that left two useless and several other others critically injured on Saturday night in Jarasingha village. 

The two teams had been allegedly at daggers drawn over a ‘water sharing’ dispute.  As stress prevailed within the space, Sadar SDPO Srimanta Barik visited the locality and took inventory of the state of affairs. He assured that police have been deployed to avert any escalation. 

Talking to mediapersons, Barik stated, “Police inquiry is on. Some more people are under our scanner and we are investigating the matter thoroughly.”
