KISS Wins International Green Gown Awards 2023

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has received 2023 International Green Gown Awards for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Sustainability.

The prestigious award was offered at a ceremony as part of the UN High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development yesterday. KISS stood out as the only real NGO in India to be shortlisted for this distinguished class.

Among the 93 finalists representing 25 nations, KISS was recognised as one of many 12 winners for its Project Uday – creating changemakers in tribal pockets.

The International Green Gown Awards, supported by esteemed organisations such because the United Nations Environment Programme, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), L’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), International Association of Universities (IAU), and Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), have fun and endorse the excellent efforts of academic establishments worldwide in selling sustainability.

KISS rightly deserves the award because it has served as a shining instance of impactful and progressive practices in sustainability.

The organisation’s honesty in sharing each successes and challenges confronted alongside the journey demonstrates its bravery, confidence, and humility. This recognition highlights the significance of upper, technical, and vocational schooling establishments in addressing the urgent local weather and biodiversity crises.
