Konark Heritage Development Plan Draws Mixed Reactions From Locals

Konark: The heritage undertaking for beautification of world-famous Konark temple and its periphery evoked combined responses from the native residents of the traditional metropolis who urged the State authorities to resolve their points previous to enterprise the mega undertaking.

Apart from the land problem, residents of Konark additionally opined in favour of growth of the previous city by relocating Konark helipad.
As per the event plan, all of the roads resulting in the temple shall be developed into six-lane, particularly the three.5 Km lengthy outer ring highway of Konark. Tusharkanti Behera, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister has mentioned, “The development of Konark Temple and its periphery will not only benefit the local residents living in its vicinity, but also attract tourists from across India and abroad.”
