Low turnout as common courses resume

SAMBALPUR: Classes in schools and universities within the district recorded low turnout on Monday after instructional establishments have been reopened after a niche of round 10 months. At Gangadhar Meher University, round 40 per cent of scholars enrolled in undergraduate and post-graduate last 12 months programs, confirmed up on the day. The college officers stated the school rooms have been sanitised and less than two college students have been allowed to take a seat on a bench. While a lot of the college students who attended the courses have been locals, hostel inmates are but to return from their houses. 

Similarly, at Government Women’s College, all protocols have been adopted earlier than resumption of bodily courses. Principal Prafulla Sethi stated the school rooms and corridors of the faculty have been sanitised and benches marked to make sure distancing. Around 30 per cent of the scholars enrolled in Plus Three last 12 months turned up on the day. Around 25 per cent hostellers have returned from their houses, he stated. At Sambalpur University, the place nearly all of hostel inmates are but to return to the campus, the attendance was dismally low.
