ROURKELA: After a gathering convened by the senior officers of the Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) with the displaced individuals from 14 affected villages failed on Monday one other assembly held by the Sundargarh district administration on Tuesday additionally couldn’t break the deadlock. Sundargarh MLA Kusum Tete and Zilla Parishad president Kunti Pradhan additionally attended the assembly. At the top, the sub-collector mentioned the administration would proceed its efforts for an amicable resolution between the opponents.MCL Basundhargarh-Mahalaxmi Bisthapith Suraksha Manch president Rajendra Naik mentioned the agitation would proceed until MCL pays land compensation and settles Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) claims of all displaced individuals of 14 affected villages.
