Man Murdered Over Sorcery Suspicion In Odisha’s Sundargarh – ODISHA BYTES

Sundargarh: A person was murdered over suspicion of practising sorcery at a village close to Bonai in Sundargarh district on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been recognized as Kalia Dehury, a villager from Patamunda below Mahulpada police limits.
Police have detained one Tanguru Giri from the identical village for his alleged involvement within the homicide.
According to sources, Tanguru had an altercation with Kalia on Sunday night. Following this, he allegedly struck Kalia’s head with an axe and killed him on the spot. He additionally set Kalia’s home on hearth.
On being knowledgeable, police reached the spot and detained Tanguru for interrogation.
As per major investigation, police suspect that previous enmity and sorcery would be the causes behind the homicide.
