Narsinghpur IIC arrested by Vigilance for taking Rs 20k bribe

Cuttack: Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) of Narsinghpur Police Station has been arrested by the Vigilance Official right now on expenses of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused police officer has been recognized as Alekh Gardia.
According to the Vigilance division, IIC Alekh Gardia has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court. In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance P.S. Case No.10 dated 06.02.2022 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is beneath investigation.
It is to be famous right here that the anti-corruption group performed a raid and caught Gardia red-handed whereas taking the money to settle a household dispute.
Following the raid, simultaneous home searches are underway on the official quarters of the Alekh Gardia in Narsinghpur police station campus and at his native village in Bhandarimal beneath Jujumara Police limits in Sambalpur district.
