New VC Of Ravenshaw University; Prof Sanjay Nayak From CIPET

Bhubaneswar: Eminent academician Prof Sanjay Nayak has been appointed as the brand new Vice-Chancellor of Ravenshaw University by the Chancellor of Universities and Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal.
Prof Nayak, who’s presently working as Director General(Chief Academic Officer),Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, Chennai and has 34 years of experience in Teaching, Research and Technical Consultancy.
Prof. Nayak holds twin Ph.D Degree, each in Science & Engineering, and likewise conferred with D.Sc Degree on “Advanced Thermoplastic Composites & Nanocomposites”. He has in depth post-doctoral analysis expertise from many distinguished universities in diversified areas of Polymer Science Engineering & Technology.
Prof. Nayak has been a mentor, thinker and information to his group of colleges, scientists and Ph.D. students in all their ventures. He has mentored greater than 50 students for Ph.D program and 75 college students for his or her M.Tech / M.E thesis.
He can also be the recipient of many awards. Few of them particularly, ‘Distinguished Scientist Award’ in appreciation to his contribution to Polymer Science & Technology by Asian Polymer Association (APA), ‘Commendable Faculty Award’ for Research in Material Science & High Citation Index (as per Scopus) by Careers 360, National Awards for Technology Innovations in Petrochemicals and Downstream Plastics Processing Industry and FICCI Chemicals & Petrochemicals Award 2018 for Distinguished Contribution to Indian Plastics Industry in recognition of his excellent management and tireless efforts through the years to the Indian Plastics Industry.
He has deliberated his ideas in 35 books. Moreover, he has been actively contributing in the direction of indigenous expertise growth by means of funded Research Projects and Consultancy Services to the industries.
