Not submitting papers is a drama: BJD

BHUBANESWAR: The BJD lashed on the BJP for not submitting nomination papers over the difficulty of delay in cost of crop insurance coverage of farmers affected in 2021 terming it as a drama.

Senior BJD chief Prasanna Acharya advised mediapersons that Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMBFY) is a Central scheme and the Centre ought to take steps to resolve the difficulty. When the insurance coverage firm approached the state authorities, the technical advisory committee headed by the Agriculture manufacturing commissioner had given its verdict in favour of the farmers.

Acharya mentioned that the insurance coverage firm had gone to the Central Advisory Committee headed by a joint secretary within the Agriculture ministry in opposition to the order of the state authorities’s TAC. But attraction is pending for the reason that final six months, he mentioned.
