Odisha: Couple Dies In Road Accident In Puri District
Pipili: A person and his spouse had been killed after they had been hit by an over-speeding truck whereas they had been on their approach residence on a scooter on the Rameswar-Puri Jagannath street below Kanas police limits in Puri district of Odisha on Wednesday.
The couple has been recognized as Dr Ramakant Acharya, a professor at Puri Gopabandhu Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital and his spouse Sandhyarani Mishra, headmistress of Sahupada Kapileswar School.
The incident sparked pressure within the space as offended locals blocked the street and site visitors went standstill for some time. On being knowledgeable, police reached the spot and introduced the scenario below management. The truck driver was detained and brought to the police station for interrogation. Further investigation of the case is underway.
