Odisha Dips In Niti Aayog Innovation Index Ranking | OTV News

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has come down two steps to stay at 14th place within the Niti Aayog’s second Innovation Index rating which was launched on Wednesday.
Odisha amongst three different States (Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bihar) have been ranked on the backside of the index. The common innovation rating of Odisha stands at 18.94.
The State scored 42.10 factors to face at tenth place in Human Resources Index. Similarly, it stood at fifteenth place in Investment and 14th in Knowledge Works classes.
Karnataka topped the index for the second 12 months in a row with innovation rating of 42.5 factors.
Among Union Territories, Delhi topped the chart, whereas within the North-Eastern and hill states class Himachal Pradesh occupied the highest spot.
Odisha secured the twelfth place within the first innovation index rankings of the Niti Ayog launched in 2019.
The India Innovation Index 2020 ranks the states and union territories primarily based on their relative efficiency of supporting innovation and goals to empower them to enhance their innovation insurance policies by highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
The states and union territories have been divided into 17 ‘major states’, 10 ‘North-Eastern and hill states’, and 9 ‘city states and Union Territories’, for successfully evaluating their efficiency.
