Odisha: Former Block Chairman Murder Case Cracked, Five Including Mastermind Arrested

Berhampur: Five individuals had been arrested in reference to the homicide of former block chairman of Beguniapada, Debraj Sahoo.
On Monday, police seized three pistols, 5 magazines, 63 bullets, a automobile, deceased’s cell phone and a few money from their possession of the arrested individuals.
The cops dominated out any political angle within the homicide whereas attributing it to a revenge killing. Ajay Barik is the mastermind of the crime, police stated.

“It is basically a revenge killing. So far, there is no clue of political angle. It is purely due to previous enmity over different reasons,” stated Southern Range DIG, Satyabrata Bhoi.
“After a scuffle with Debraj earlier, Ajay was looking for opportunity to take revenge and procured firearms to execute the crime,” Bhoi added.
Notably, three bike-borne miscreants had opened hearth at Debaraj Sahoo at Sumandal Chhak on January 20. Sahoo succumbed to the bullet accidents on the spot.
