Odisha: Madhu Babu Pension to be given in cash

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha authorities has decided to supply pension to the beneficiaries of Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY) in cash as a lot of them have been going via difficulties in withdrawing or accumulating cash from their accounts.
Bhaskar Sarma, the Secretary of the State Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) division has written to all the Collectors on this regard.
Sarma moreover has requested the Collectors to supply the cash to the beneficiaries on the doorstep of these which might be unable to go and procure the cash particularly individual.
From the fifteenth of every month, most beneficiaries can now collect the cash from quite a few camps organize in each panchayat area. For the aged and folks with disabilities, officers will ship it at their doorsteps. District Collectors have been requested to include members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) throughout the disbursement of the pension beneath MBPY, study Sarma letter.
