Revenue workers paralyse govt work in Odisha

JAGATSINGHPUR: Employees of Revenue division within the district, intensified their agitation to protest the assault on a income inspector of Balikuda tehsil on Monday by paralysing work on the Collectorate right here.The staff underneath the banner of Odisha Rajaswa Amala Sangh have been agitating in entrance of Balikuda tehsil workplace for the final 5 days. But they took their protest to the Collectorate and the Sub-Collector’s workplace on the day and demanded the arrest of culprits concerned in assaulting income inspector Susant Kumar Swain of Marichipur circle in Balikuda. 

Swain was assaulted by one Subash Chandra Nayak of Keruapada inside Balikuda police limits whereas he was on an anti-encroachment drive within the village on January 20. Swain was crushed up by Nayak within the presence of tehsildar Sidharh Sankar Sahoo and supervisors Kalandi Behera and Biswa Bhusan Mohapatra. Though 5 days have handed for the reason that incident, the police are but to nab the culprits. The staff, who’ve began a ‘pen down’ agitation, warned of additional intensifying their protest if Nayak isn’t arrested quickly. 

Jagatsinghpur SDPO, Priya Ranjan Satpathy stated a case has been registered by Balikuda police towards Nayak who’s absconding for the reason that incident. “A police team has been engaged to nab him,” he stated. Meanwhile, work at Balikuda tehsil workplace stays paralysed for the reason that agitation was began 5 days again inflicting inconvenience to folks.
