Bhubaneswar: In an enormous achievement for Odisha, six Odias have been chosen to be given probably the most prestigious Padma Awards.
Renowned sculptor Sudarshan Sahoo, founding father of Sudarshan Art & Crafts Village, Bhubaneswar, will get Padma Vibhushan.
Dr Rajat Kumar Kar will get will get Padma Shri for Literature and Education.
Ms Purnamasi Jani of Odisha will probably be awarded with Padma Shri for Art whereas Shanti Devi will get Padma Shri for Social Work.
Dr Krishna Mohan Pathi of Odisha will get Padma Shri for Medicine and Shri Nanda Prusty of Odisha will get Padma Shri for Literature and Education.
