STF Seizes LAM Coke Worth Rs 13 Lakh, Arrests 10 In Odisha’s Cuttack – ODISHA BYTES

Cuttack: The Special Task Force of Crime Branch busted an inter-state Low Ash Metallurgical (LAM) coke theft gang and arrested 10 individuals on this connection.
Acting on dependable data, a group of the STF raided Baba Dhabaleswar Koila Dipu underneath Choudwar police limits in Odisha’ Cuttack district and located eight vans loaded with LAM coke parked within the areas.
The Lam Coke had been illegally unloaded on the cite by the mafia after which loaded in different vans for disposal to different states.
Police seized a heap of illegally unloaded Lam Coke weighing about 32 tonnes, 9 vans loaded with Lam Coke, one JCB, some resealed and repacking supplies together with different incriminating supplies.
As per a launch by the police, a complete of 54 tonnes of Lam Coke have been discovered to have been stolen and saved by the culprits on the market. The inventory is value Rs 13.50 lakh available in the market.
The arrested shall be forwarded to court docket. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
