Tehsildar of Balasore Sadar attacked by household for stopping them from violating Covid guidlines

BALASORE:  Anamika Singh, tehsildar of Balasore Sadar was abused and attacked by a household when she stopped them from violating Covid-19 tips right here on Wednesday night time. An ‘Ekadasha’ feast was being organised for over 100 individuals on the home of Ramesh Rout in Hinjili village. Apparently, Rout’s spouse had died of Covid-19 in April final week and the feast was part of the eleventh day ritual.

Receiving data, Anamika rushed to the spot and requested him to cease the occasion because it led to overcrowding and was a blatant violation of Covid protocols. However, Rout’s relations refused to budge and allegedly abused and attacked the tehsildar.

Collector Okay Sudarshan Chakravarthy, Sub-Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil and Sadar IIC Kshyama Sagar Panda reached the spot and rescued Anamika. Subsequently, a case was registered towards Tapan Rout and one other minor for his or her alleged involvement within the incident and so they have been arrested. 

Police mentioned Rout had taken permission for conducting the loss of life rites and as per Covid guidelines, he was allowed to simply invite 20 individuals for the rituals. However, greater than 100 folks have been discovered attending the feast.
