Police have solved the case of 13 years old double murder that took place in Gonda police station area of Aligarh. In this case, a murderer carrying a reward of Rs 25 thousand was arrested from Ballabhgarh, Haryana. The accused has been identified as Harendra, resident of Heerpur Hussainpur, police station Gonda.
Background of the incident: Mathura brothers shot dead
This case dates back to 2012 when Narendra, a resident of Bhairai village of Naujheel police station area of Mathura district, had lodged a police report. In the complaint, Narendra had accused Harendra of shooting dead his brothers Rajveer and Jaiveer. Rajveer was a resident of Bhalai, Thana Surir, while Jaiveer was a resident of Bhairai.
Harendra was absconding since the murder and the police were facing continuous challenges to catch him. A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on the accused.
Arrest from Ballabhgarh, Haryana: Informer led to success
Police said that accused Harendra was living in Rajiv Colony of Ballabhgarh area of Faridabad district of Haryana. He was arrested with the help of Sector-58 police station and local police. Police had received information from an informer for the arrest.
ASP Iglas, Bhanware Diksha Arun said in the press conference,
“This arrest is a major breakthrough. The accused was absconding for the last 13 years and was a big challenge for the police. Based on a tip-off, we raided Ballabhgarh and arrested him.”
