Lucknow. Making Uttar Pradesh a sick state was a political mentality, by eliminating which we have made it the second largest economy in the country. Today, enthusiasm is visible on the faces of the traditional artisans, craftsmen and young entrepreneurs of the state who were disappointed earlier. ODOP scheme of Uttar Pradesh has today become the foundation stone of self-reliant India. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things during the curtain raiser ceremony of the second edition of the International Trade Show held at Lok Bhavan on Thursday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated 13 projects of industrial estates and ODOP CFC. Also honored traditional handicraftsmen and artisans of different districts.

In his address, CM Yogi thanked the MSME department and congratulated the new entrepreneurs of the state and the honored artisans and handicraftsmen. The Chief Minister said that an International Trade Show was organized in Greater Noida in UP last year, the success of which set a new record. It provided a powerful platform to showcase the potential of UP. For the first time, more than 500 foreign buyers, 70 thousand people participated and there was a footfall of 3 lakh people. He told that again the second edition of the International Trade Show will be organized in Greater Noida between 25th to 29th September. Through this, UP is once again going to showcase its potential in front of the global society.

CM Yogi said that the handicraftsmen, artisans and young entrepreneurs of UP had the potential but they needed the encouragement and platform of the government. Many units of micro, small and medium industries were present in the state for thousands of years, but due to continuous government neglect and Inspector Raj, its entrepreneurs were distressed and forced to migrate. In 2018 we started ODOP scheme. After this, the work of providing market and technology to traditional enterprises started. As a result, today ODOP of UP has become a unique scheme in the country. Today ODOP has become the foundation stone of self-reliant India, on which UP is proud.

CM Yogi said that our young entrepreneurs who were discouraged earlier are excited today. Today there is a glow on his face. They are confident that their product is ready for global competition. Our exports increased from Rs 86 thousand crores to Rs 2 lakh crores. It has created employment opportunities. Wherever these industries will be set up, roads will be built, electricity will be available and drinking water will be provided. New jobs will be created. Residential facilities will also be developed. Earlier all these clusters were ending in UP. Today packaging institutes are being established in the state.

CM called upon all the young entrepreneurs to visit the second edition of the International Trade Show to be organized in Greater Noida in September this year and see the potential of UP. The Chief Minister said that despite so much happening in the state, people used to say that UP is sick. Seeing our ability in international trade shows, no one will call UP ill. Today UP has risen above the category of sick state. Bimaru state was a political mentality, as soon as we ended that mentality, UP became the second largest economy in the country.
