Lucknow. Expressing displeasure over negligence in giving compensation for the loss of crops, Chief Minister Yogi has sought answers from the officials of 17 districts. In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently reviewed the compensation and other relief for crops damaged by various disasters. During this, he expressed displeasure over the negligence in re-verification of loss of crops due to errors and not giving compensation and gave clear instructions to the officials to provide compensation amount to the farmers by conducting immediate verification in such cases.

Let us tell you that after verifying the loss of crops, the state government provides compensation amount and other relief to the farmers. But, in some cases, verification of crops of some farmers could not be completed due to technical shortcomings. Re-verification was not done, due to which some farmers could not get relief and compensation amount. Expressing strictness, CM Yogi has sought answers from the officials and has also given instructions to give immediate compensation to the deprived farmers. The Chief Minister found in the review meeting that compensation could not be paid to thousands of farmers affected by crops damaged by disasters in the financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23 due to Aadhaar, account number and duplication during data feeding. He had instructed the officials to give assistance to the farmers deprived of compensation after re-verification.

Despite instructions from the Chief Minister, officials of many districts did not conduct a survey of the farmers affected by damaged crops. Because of this, farmers could not get compensation on time. Expressing his displeasure on this, he issued a strong rebuke. He sought reply from the negligent 17 ADM FR and directed to take strict action. After the displeasure of CM Yogi, the officials have again conducted a survey of the farmers deprived of compensation in their respective districts and demanded a budget from the government.
