Kasganj There was silence on the land when the painful incident of gang rape shook the entire state. The graph of crime in Uttar Pradesh is growing rapidly, and this time the case is of gangrape with a Dalit teenager who shaken the soul of the entire state. On Wednesday, Congress state president Ajay Rai reached Kasganj to meet the victim’s family, where he not only expressed grief but also attacked power directly.
“This is Jungle Raj, daughters are not safe”: Ajay Rai
Ajay Rai shared his pain during the meeting with the victim’s family and assured of all possible help. His resentment came out openly in a conversation with reporters. They said that,
“Uttar Pradesh is no longer the rule of law, but criminals. Daughters are insecure, Dalits are not stopping atrocities, and the government is sitting eyes.”
He also added that providing justice to the victim’s family is not just a political responsibility, but also a question of social morality. The Congress will stand with them in this fight at every level.
Demand for hanging, security plea
Along with Ajay Rai, the victim’s family also openly agreed. The family demanded the hanging of the accused and said that now only severe punishment can create fear in the society. The Congress President also said,
“The rapists should be punished severely. Such disgusting crimes will not be held until a strict punishment like hanging.”
Ajay Rai demanded from the state government that financial assistance should be given to the victim’s family and security should also be ensured. They said,
“This is not just a family fight, it is a fight for the whole society. The government should come forward and make the path of justice easier.”
Not only Kasganj, the entire state victim: Rai’s attack
The Congress President mentioned not only Kasganj, but also the crimes growing across the state. Referring to the incident of Banaras, he said,
“There is a gang rape of a four -year -old innocent girl, in Prayagraj, the poor are burnt with petrol. This is the reality of the Yogi government.”
He raised the question whether poor, Dalits and minorities are now left as vote banks? Is there no cost to his life?
Waqf amendment bill also targeted
In political rhetoric, Ajay Rai also targeted the central government. He said about the Waqf Amendment Bill,
“This bill has been brought only and only to save the Antilia of Mumbai. It is a conspiracy to divert public attention, while the government is failing on the ground issues.”
Congress delegation was present
Many senior Congress leaders were also present during this meeting. Many people including Congress District President Manoj Pandey, Law Chairman Satyendra Pal Singh Bais, AICC member Munendra Pal Singh Rajput, District General Secretary Amit Pathak and Congress leader Amit Bhaiyu reached Kasganj to mourn the incident.
The delegation in one voice demanded the government that the victim’s family should get justice, and in future such incidents should not be recurred, strict policies should be made.
Why is this crime being repeated again and again?
Incidents of rape, murder, and gang rape, which are constantly coming out in Uttar Pradesh, are now becoming a common news. The inaction of the administration and the criminals are strong. The opposition alleges that the state government has proved to be a complete failure in stopping the crime.
The question is also whether the government’s priority is still women safety or just electoral strategies? When the girls in a state are required to get political help to get justice after losing their honor, then the real face of democracy comes out.
“Kasganj is not a case, a mirror of the system”
This incident of Kasganj is not just a crime report, it is a mirror of the system that the government is nervous by seeing. This tour of Ajay Rai was not limited to console merely, but also a clear message that the opposition would now raise the issue from road to Parliament.
Congress becomes the voice of the public?
Given this attitude and sensitivity of Ajay Rai, it would not be wrong to say that the Congress is now getting more active on public issues. If the party continues to raise these issues in the coming time, then the pressure on the government will definitely increase.
What does the public want?
Public demand is clear:
-
The accused hanged
-
Security and financial support to the victim’s family
-
Quick justice process by state government
-
Strong system of women helpline in every district
-
Dalit and minorities guarantee security
Until these demands are met, the anger of the public will not be cold. Every citizen is now awake and is raising his voice for his rights.
It is worth noting:
This incident of Kasganj is a warning for law and order and a litmus test for the government. Will the Yogi government pass in this test or will the public’s trust waver even more? The answer will give time, but at the moment the public is questioning – where is justice?
