Mahoba Tuesday morning turned into mourning in a small locality of Gandhinagar when 19-year-old Inter student Yash Kashyap ended his life. This incident became a painful incident not only for the family but for the entire area. Yash, who studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya, was under mental stress for the past one week. The reason for his trouble is said to be his friends, who were continuously calling him and reaching home.
Yash’s last moments: a lifetime of grief for the family
Yash’s two friends reached his house on Tuesday morning. Yash had told the family to tell their friends that he was not at home. Shortly thereafter, Yash went to his room and committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan. When the family saw this scene, the ground slipped beneath their feet. They immediately brought Yash down and took him to the district hospital, but the doctor declared him dead.
Yash surrounded by threats from friends
Yash’s father Kapil Kashyap told that his son was being harassed by calling his friends for the last several days. This action of friends was not only limited to the phone, but they also started coming to Yash’s house. This repeated action was breaking Yash from within. The father also told that Yash had stopped picking up the phone several times, but the activities of his friends did not stop.
This pressure increased so much within a week that Yash took the step of committing suicide. The father also told that the numbers from which the calls were coming have now been switched off.
Police engaged in investigation, many questions unanswered
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Police have started investigation on the basis of primary information. Family members say that this is a case of mental harassment by friends. However, till now the police have been unable to find out who were the friends who were harassing Yash by calling him and what was their intention.
Only son: end of the world for the family
Yash was the only brother of three sisters. His death has brought great sorrow to the family. Parents say that the only lamp in their house got extinguished. The mother cries looking at her son’s picture again and again. Father Kapil Kashyap said, “I cannot understand why my son was harassed so much. If we had understood his problem earlier, perhaps this incident would not have happened.”
Questioning the intentions of friends
The actions of Yash’s friends have put not only the family but the entire neighborhood in a tizzy. After all, what was that thing due to which friends troubled Yash so much? This is a big question for the police. People of the locality say that Yash was always a calm boy and was good in studies.
Mental health question: Did pressure become the cause of suicide?
After Yash’s death, the question arises whether the friendship and social pressure on the youth has increased so much that they are forced to take steps like suicide. Experts say that youth should be aware of mental health.
Police’s next action
Police is preparing to investigate the call details of Yash’s friends in this case. Efforts are being made to find out who was calling him and what was the reason for coming home. The police have also appealed to the family that if any more information is received, then share it immediately.
Hope for justice for the family
Yash’s parents are now expecting justice from the police. He wants the culprits who harassed his son to be punished. He said, “We want such people to come forward and realize their mistake.”
