The court has suspended the August 11 directive concerning the relocation of stray dogs. The new ruling allows for the capture of stray dogs with the provision that they be released after sterilization. The release is conditional, only applying to stray dogs that are free from rabies and exhibit non-aggressive behavior. The initial directive had led to protests in Delhi-NCR and other parts of the country.
