    Short term courses for those interested in the archaeological field.

    Highlights

    Short term courses related to archaeological research are being prepared. Numismatics, inscriptions, temple architecture will be taught. Students will be taken on a tour of archaeological sites.

    Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal. To connect the new generation with archaeology and art-culture and to increase curiosity and awareness among the youth on these subjects, short term courses are being prepared by Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Wakankar Archaeological Research Institute. For this, affiliations are being taken from various universities and MoUs are also being signed with private institutions.

    Some courses will be conducted by the research institute itself, while some will be conducted by private institutes. These courses will be of one to six months duration and workshops are also included in them. Their syllabus is being prepared through various scholars.

    Objectives of the Course

    The course aims to meet the research and professional needs of graduates interested in archaeology, archaeological field practice and cultural heritage consultancy. The aim is to enhance theoretical knowledge, research skills and practical skills to develop an understanding of the subjects.

    The programmes will be based on both theoretical and practical content and provide an opportunity to apply the developed theories and practical skills.

    MoU with many institutions

    For the course, MoU has been signed with Academy for Archaeological Heritage Research and Training Centre, Raisen and is to be signed with Ashwani Shodh Sansthan, Mahidpur. Along with this, the process of getting affiliation from Vikram University Ujjain and Barkatullah University Bhopal is underway.

    Tours will be conducted to archaeological sites

    Numismatics, iconography, pre-history, temple architecture, inscriptions, stone age weapon manufacturing, ancient scripts etc. will be taught through short term courses and if required, students will be taken on a tour to such places.

    Our research institute works for archaeological research and excavation. To promote this work and to connect the youth to this field, short term courses have been planned. The courses will be started within six months. As per the duration, these courses will be for students from 10th pass to graduation, in which all the subjects related to archaeology will be included.
