    Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, held a meeting in Delhi to honor the officers involved in the recent successful anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. He congratulated them on their historic achievement and reiterated the Modi government’s commitment to combating Naxalism. Shah expressed his intention to visit Chhattisgarh to meet the jawans who displayed exceptional bravery. The operations, guided by the Union Home Minister, involved the Chhattisgarh Police and DRG units carrying out missions in the Abujhmad region from May 18 to May 21. A key encounter on May 21 led to the elimination of 27 Naxals, including CPI (Maoist) General Secretary Basavaraju, and the recovery of a large quantity of arms and ammunition. The officers recognized included the Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police, and several Superintendents of Police. The meeting was attended by Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Union Home Secretary, Director of the Intelligence Bureau, and other senior officials.
