Actor Sudhanshu Pandey has spoken out against Ram Kapoor’s controversial comments made during the promotion of the web series ‘Mistry.’ Kapoor’s remarks, perceived as offensive and disrespectful, especially towards women, sparked significant public backlash. In response, the streaming platform JioHotstar has decided to remove Kapoor from all future promotional activities related to the series.
In an interview, Sudhanshu Pandey strongly criticized Kapoor’s behavior. He stated that Kapoor was harming his own image with such comments and suggested that making such statements indicated a lack of mental stability. Pandey stressed the importance of treating everyone, particularly women, with respect and offered an apology on behalf of the industry if Kapoor’s statements were accurately reported.
Kapoor’s offensive remarks included joking about kissing a male employee, making insensitive comments about his birth, and using sexually suggestive language towards female crew members. These statements generated significant criticism, leading to his removal from promotional events and calls for greater responsibility from celebrities and public figures.
