    Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the Group Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, along with his son, Ghanim bin Sulayem, visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, immersing themselves in its spiritual and cultural significance. The visit encompassed a detailed exploration of the temple’s design, atmosphere, and heritage.

    Swami Brahmavihar Dasji acknowledged Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem’s continuous support for the temple, including assistance with stone transport and support for sustainable initiatives. He highlighted that Sulayem’s presence provided strength and motivation throughout the temple’s development.

    Sulayem expressed that it was an honor to witness an “amazing creation.” He reflected on the impressive transformation since his initial visit, praising the location and the construction’s evolution. He described the completed temple, highlighting the 3D-printed walls, immersive screens, and intricate carvings. He admired the harmonious design, the welcoming environment, and the opportunity to experience culture and education. He emphasized the UAE’s tradition of tolerance, noting its importance in creating a sense of belonging for various communities.

    He characterized the temple as a space for the soul, fostering an infinite sense of peace. He emphasized the fulfillment experienced by visitors and lauded the dedication of the volunteers. The BAPS Hindu Mandir, which opened on February 14, 2024, is the first traditional Hindu temple in the UAE, built on 27 acres with sandstone from Rajasthan.
