A recent order from the Supreme Court regarding stray dogs has ignited a public discussion. The ruling has received mixed reactions, with some people welcoming the decision and others expressing dissent. Barun Das, the MD and CEO of TV9 Network, has also offered his perspective on the matter.

Das emphasized that the behavior of stray dogs acts as a reflection of society. The Supreme Court has ordered that all stray dogs in Delhi-NCR be moved to shelter homes within eight weeks.

He stated that animals react when they perceive a threat. He also said that the way a dog reacts to a visitor in an area reflects the society. He added that a dog’s attack on a child is possibly a result of past abuses.

Das applauded the Supreme Court’s decision, recognizing it as a source of relief and concern, and a major step towards public safety. He noted that the order should spark a deeper debate on the relationship between humans and animals. It is more than just a legal order, and it is a conversation everyone should consider.
