Supreme Court Petition Filed for Sonam Wangchuk’s Release by Wife

Gitanjali J. Angmo, the wife of Sonam Wangchuk, has appealed to the Supreme Court, challenging the arrest of her husband and demanding his immediate release. Sonam Wangchuk, a prominent environmentalist and educator, has been held in Jodhpur Jail, Rajasthan, following his detention after violent clashes in Ladakh on September 24th. Angmo filed her petition with the Supreme Court on October 2nd, according to official sources.
