Dantewada. Influenced by the Lon Varatu (Come Back Home) campaign, 2 Maoists have surrendered their arms to the police. The surrendered Maoists were involved in Telam Panchayat of Katekalyan Area Committee. During the bandh week, Maoist Naxalites have carried out the incident of blocking the road by digging the Tatum road from Tumkpal.
Let us tell you that under the rehabilitation scheme, Chhattisgarh government gave Rs 25,000 in cash. Besides, all other types of benefits available under the rehabilitation scheme will be given. Under the Lon Varatu campaign, till now a total of 681 Maoists including 173 rewarded Maoists have surrendered and joined the mainstream of the society.
