The Indian SUV market’s mid-size segment shows interesting developments in August 2025. Hyundai Creta has outperformed its rivals, with sales reaching 15,924 units. Although there was a 5% decrease compared to the previous year, Creta has maintained its leading position. The Mahindra Scorpio took the second spot, with 9,840 units sold, a 29% drop from last year. The Toyota Hyryder showed substantial growth with a 39% increase year-over-year, selling 9,100 units. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Mahindra XUV700 showed significant sales declines. Kia Seltos sales were down 28% compared to last year. While the Tata Harrier showed an increase in sales, the Tata Curvv experienced a decline. The Honda Elevate and Tata Safari registered the lowest sales numbers. The sales data indicates the shifting trends and the challenges faced by various SUVs in the competitive market.
