  • Defence Ministry seals cope with BDL to accumulate 4,690 anti-tank guided missiles

    The Defence Ministry on Friday sealed a cope with state-run Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) to accumulate 4,960 anti-tank guided missiles at a value of Rs 1,188 crore for the Indian Army.
    The missiles, having a spread of 1,850 metres, may be fired from floor in addition to vehicle-based launchers and their induction is deliberate to be accomplished in three years, the ministry stated.
    In the previous couple of months, the ministry finalised a spread of procurement tasks for the three forces to boost their general fight capabilities.
    “The acquisition wing of the Ministry of Defence signed a contract with defence public sector undertaking Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) for supply of 4,960 MILAN-2T anti-tank guided missiles to Indian Army at a cost of Rs 1,188 crore,” the ministry stated in a press release.
    The missiles are being produced by BDL below license from French defence main MBDA Missile Systems.

    “These missiles can be fired from ground as well as vehicle-based launchers and can be deployed in anti-tank role for both offensive and defensive tasks,” the ministry stated.

    “Induction of these missiles will further enhance the operational preparedness of the armed forces. Induction is planned to be completed in three years,” it added.

There is no word on the battery and storage details of the Redmi Note 9 5G. Coming to the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G specs, the device is expected to be similar to the Mi 10T Lite. The teaser images show off a circular camera module on the back that should house four camera sensors and a gradient finish that is similar to the Rose Gold Beach colour of the Mi 10T Lite. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G should feature a 6.67-inch LCD display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset paired with 8GB RAM. The phone is tipped to sport a 108MP quad-camera system. It may house a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

    The Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, 6-speed transmission, fuel injected engine. This engine is mounted on a delta box frame. It also has the facility of single channel ABS. It costs Rs 1,43,900 ex-showroom Delhi and you can book your order through an authorized dealer with new color options.

  • Chairmanship of Union Home Minister approves Rs. 4,381.88 crore of additional Central assistance to six States

    The High Level Committee (HLC) under the Chairmanship of the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has approved additional Central assistance under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to six States, which were affected by cyclone/ floods/ landslides during this year.

    HLC has approved additional Central assistance of Rs 4,381.88 crore to six States from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).

    For cyclone ‘Amphan’, Rs 2,707.77 crore has been approved for West Bengal and Rs.128.23 crore for Odisha.

    For cyclone ‘Nisarga’ Rs 268.59 crore has been approved for Maharashtra.

    For floods and landslides during the South-West monsoon, Rs.577.84 crore has been approved for Karnataka, Rs 611.61 crore for Madhya Pradesh, and Rs 87.84 crore for Sikkim.

    In the aftermath of cyclone ‘Amphan’, the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had visited the affected States of West Bengal and Odisha on 22nd

    May 2020. As announced by the Prime Minister, financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 crore to West Bengal and Rs 500 crore to Odisha were released, in advance, on 23rd May 2020 for immediate relief activities in these States. In addition, the Prime Minister had also announced Rs. 2 lakh ex-gratia for the next of kin of the dead and Rs. 50,000 for the injured, which was over and above the ex-gratia provided through the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and the NDRF.
