Kanpur News. The court of ADJ-22 has convicted the accused of raping a 9-year-old girl in Bithoor police station area of Kanpur district and sentenced him to 20 years of imprisonment. Let us tell you that in October 2022, the accused had lured the girl and took her to the temple and raped her. The girl’s father caught the accused and filed a report.
According to the information, during Govardhan Puja at the house of Bablu Kamal, a resident of Dampurva in Bithoor police station area, DJ was playing at around 10 pm on the night of 26 October 2022, to see which a 9-year-old girl from the neighborhood went with her younger sister. During this time, Bablu gave a sparkler to the younger sister and sent her home and then took the 9-year-old girl to the temple near the house. He raped her there.

After searching for a long time, when the father could not find his daughter, he reached near the temple and caught Bablu red handed. When the victim’s father complained to Bablu’s family, they became adamant on fighting. The victim filed a report in Bithoor police station under sections of rape and POCSO Act. The police arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
