The work of adding a third line will be done simultaneously at Damoh station and Umaria station. Due to this, 46 trains will be cancelled on different dates from August 27 to September 9.

    Earlier it used to happen that every zone used to plan the infrastructure work on its own level on different dates. Due to this, trains used to get cancelled twice due to the work of both the zones. The passengers had to bear the brunt of this. Passengers used to get upset due to train cancellations. There will still be trouble, but only once.

    major line connecting northern India

    In fact, the West Central Railway wants to add a third line to Jabalpur’s Damoh station as well as the South East Central Railway Zone’s Umaria station. An agreement has also been reached between the two zones for this.

    The third railway line between Bilaspur-Katni is an important and busy railway route of this railway, which connects the entire region with North India. Yard remodeling work will be done to connect Umaria railway station of this section to the third line.

    The work will run from August 24 to September 5

    The work of connecting the third rail line to Umaria railway station will run from August 24 to September 5. The work of connecting the third rail line to Damoh railway station between Mudwara-Bina railway stations will be done from August 26 to September 9. Trains have to be cancelled to complete this work.

    These trains will remain canceled

    Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj)-Santragachi Express on 28 August, 4 and 11 September, Chirmiri-Chandia Road Passenger and Chandia Road-Chirmiri Passenger from 28 August to 5 September. Katni-Chirmiri MEMU Special and Chirmiri-Katni MEMU Special. Chirmiri-Anuppur Passenger and Anuppur-Chirmiri Passenger Special on 29 and 31 August, 3, 5 and 7 September. Bilaspur-Indore Narmada Express and Jabalpur-Ambikapur Express from 27 August to 5 September, Ambikapur-Jabalpur Express from 28 August to 6 September. Bilaspur-Rewa Express from 27 August to 4 September and Rewa-Bilaspur Express from 28 August to 5 September. Rewa-Chirmiri Passenger Special on 28 and 30 August, 2 and 4 September and Chirmiri-Rewa Passenger Special on 29 and 31 August, 3 and 5 September. Lucknow-Raipur Garib Rath Express on 29 August, 2 and 5 September and Raipur-Lucknow Garib Rath Express on 30 August, 3 and 6 September.

    Nizamuddin-Ambikapur Express on 22 August and 3 September and Ambikapur-Nizamuddin Express on 29 August and 5 September.

    Eight trains will run on alternate routes

    Due to this work, eight trains will run on a diverted route. Under this, the Durg-Nizamuddin Sampark Kranti Express leaving from Durg on 31 August and 9 September will run via New Katni–Katni-Satna-Ohan Cabin-Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi Junction. Similarly, on 10 September, Nizamuddin-Durg Sampark Kranti Express will also run via this route. On 12 September, Ambikapur-Nizamuddin Express, on 11 September, Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Express will run via this route. On 27 August, Bhuj-Shalimar Express will run via Sant Hirdayaram Nagar-Bhopal-Itarsi-Jabalpur-Katni-New Katni. Gondia-Barauni Express from 27 August to 4 September, Barauni-Gondia Express from 27 August to 4 September will run via the diverted route Katni Jabalpur- Nainpur-Balghat-Gondia.
