  • Haryana assembly polls: CM post claims aimed at motivating leader’s supporters

New Delhi: The results for Haryana assembly polls will be out only next week, but this has not stopped leaders in both the BJP and Congress to start staking claims for the chief ministerial post, which party insiders feel is with the tacit nod of the respective High commands to consolidate the voters in their respective castes and region of influence, before polling.

In the Congress, the party has given more than twothirds of the tickets to candidates recommended by former chief minister Bhupender Hooda. But it is Congress MP from Sirsa, Kumari Selja, and the party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Randeep Surjewala, who have expressed their desire to lead Haryana if Congress comes to power. However, neither Selja nor Surjewala is contesting the assembly polls, while Hooda is contesting.

The story is the same in the BJP as well where the party has already made it clear that it will go for elections under the leadership of sitting chief minister Nayab Saini. But Rao Inderjit Singh, Union Minister, and former state Cabinet Minister Anil Vij have indicated their desire to lead Haryana, if BJP comes to power.Singh enjoys a lot of influence in Ahirwal region. And Vij, who is contesting from Ambala, was dropped from the Haryana cabinet when the party replaced ML Khattar with Saini.Party insiders in both BJP and Congress also feel that these leaders are making with these statements with the knowledge of their respective party high commands. .In Congress, Selja is the Dalit face while Surjewala enjoys influence in and around Kaithal, a stronghold of the Devi Lal clan. So, the party insiders feel these leaders can galvanize their workers.Similarly in BJP, Inderjit is Ahir and Vij is Punjabi two castes which together can sway more than 20 assembly seats. So, through these statements, the BJP is eyeing to further consolidate its hold in these two caste segments.

He also accused him of misusing his office to enrich himself and his family. He further alleged that the Karnataka CM is continuing the tradition of the Congress party of coming into governance in the name of poor. Addressing the press conference, BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, “Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah is continuing a tradition of the Congress party under Rahul Gandhi of coming into governance in the name of poor, making fake promises but always at the end of the day enriching themselves and the family. BJP demands the resignation of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to make way for a free and independent investigation into the allegations of corruption…There is not even a single Congress leader in Karnataka who is not involved in one land scam or another. The MUDA case is a very shameful example of how a sitting CM has misused his office to enrich himself and his family…”

  • Urdu Must For Karnataka Anganwadi Teachers? BJP Accuses Siddaramaiah Govt Of ‘Muslim Appeasement’

Kannada vs Urdu Next? Amid the Kannada vs Hindi debate, CM Siddaramaiah-led Congress Government came under fire from the Opposition BJP over a notification that mandated Urdu as a must-know language for Anganwadi teachers. The notification has sparked an outrage with the BJP accusing the Congress of carrying out ‘Muslim appeasement’.

“The announcement of the Congress government of the state that to get a job as an anganwadi teacher, one should know Urdu language is condemnable. The backdoor attempt to appease the Muslim community in the recruitment of Anganwadi teachers and allow only them to get jobs is once again highlighting the insidious policy of the Congress,” said BJP leader and former MP Nalinkumar Kateel.

State Congress government’s declaration that Urdu language must be known if an Anganwadi teacher gets a job. Yes.

Anganwadi also favors the Muslim community in the recruitment of teachers, so that only they can get the job. Yet again the crooked policies of the Congress are being shown.

The BJP said on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister of Women and Child Welfare, Karnataka’s official language is Kannada. Please respond.”

@INCKarnataka government is pouring Urdu into Kannada channel.

According to reports, since Urdu is not an official language and is primarily offered as an optional subject in Urdu-medium schools, mandating it as a requirement for Anganwadi recruitment appears unjustified. The Karnataka government under Congress, since 2017, had been planning to introduce Urdu teaching in Anganwadi centres.

  • Jammu and Kashmir elections: Left NC for Jammu’s sake, had differences with Abdullahs: Devender Rana

Devender Rana has had an interesting journey in politics. He won the Nagrota assembly constituency in Jammu district in December 2014 on a National Conference ticket, the lone candidate from the party to score a victory in the region then.

Brother of Jitendra Singh, Union MoS in the PMO, Rana was once a close associate of Omar Abdullah. But the two are now bitter foes. Rana, who is now BJP candidate from Nagrota, had won this seat by 4,048 votes in 2014 when the polling percentage was low in most parts of J&K. From being a political advisor to Omar, Rana quit NC in 2021. He claims he gave primacy to the welfare of the Jammu region, which was not liked by the Abdullahs. “The differences with NC started when I talked about the Jammu Declaration and said that Jammu must have its own position. I started asserting my authority for the welfare of Jammu and that was to the dislike of the Kashmiri leadership who felt that this is not right. as they (NC) are a Kashmiroriented party while my belief then and now is that Jammu is the only secular bowl of Jammu and Kashmir. We have Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and people of all colors and shades,” Rana told ET.

He maintains that Kashmir “by default” and especially after the events of 1989 (when Kashmiri Pandits were driven out) has become “unipolar”. His call to all parties to unite for Jammu was vociferously opposed by NC. After the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the differences grew further.

“PostAugust 2019, I said that Jammu must get its due and the sense of alienation should be dealt with. I have been a strong voter of equitable distribution of resources and political authority without depriving anybody of his own identity and rights. This was not acceptable to the leadership in Kashmir,” he said. The differences between Rana and Omar have come out in the open, with the former alleging that NC was desperate to form a government with BJP in 2014 and that NC supports separatism. Omar has countered this, saying Rana has lied for the last 25 years and betrayed him.

Asked about his earlier proximity to Omar, Rana told ET, “I enjoyed the trust of the Abdullahs but as I raised the Jammu issues, a political lobby in Kashmir influenced them, particularly postAugust 2019. This lobby pressured Abdullah against me and they also found fault with me, but the bargain was that I drop the ‘Jammu, Jammu’ line. The differences between him and NC grew further as “they went the whole hog against me”, he added. The Jammu Declaration he espoused batted for more empowerment and development of the Jammu division. “After delimitation, Jammu has been fully empowered. PostAugust 2019, reservations have been given to Paharis, Valmikis, West Pakistan and PoK refugees, as well as OBCs and SCs. The Kashmir parties wanted to confine all powers to central Kashmir. Terrorism has come down by 70% while stonepelting is zero,” he said. “I think this time, Jammu will decide who forms the government in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Congress has fielded Balbir Singh against Rana but the latter is confident of scoring a second consecutive win.

  • Amit Shah flags off BJP Parivartan Yatra in Jharkhand

New Delhi: Union home minister Amit Shah on Friday flagged off BJP’s Parivartan Yatra in Jharkhand ahead of the assembly elections. The party will launch six yatras from six regions of the state which will culminate on October 2 in Ranchi, when the party will organize a rally. These yatras will cover all the 81 assembly segments in 24 districts. Several national and state level leaders will participate in the different phases of the yatra.

Speaking at a public meeting in Sahibganj, Shah attacked the Hemant Soren government over corruption and appealed to the people of Jharkhand to vote for the BJP. “The change is not just about bringing the BJP government in place of JMM and Congress. The change is to remove this corrupt government and bring a government that will stop corruption.”

Shah emphasized that the state needs a BJP government which can work for the welfare of farmers and generate employment in the state so that tribal people are not forced to go outside to get a job.Shah raised the issue of infiltration from Bangladesh and said that it is destroying the demography of the state. Shah alleged that the JMM government is silent on infiltrators as they are their vote bank.

  • Arvind Kejriwal to join AAP’s Haryana poll campaign with roadshow in Jagadhri

New Delhi: AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal will join the party’s campaign in pollbound Haryana with a roadshow in the Jagadhri constituency on September 20, AAP national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak said on Thursday. He will also participate in 13 events across 11 districts, covering the Dabwali, Rania, Bhiwani, Meham, Kalayat, Assandh and Ballabhgarh constituencies, among others, in the coming days, Pathak said at a press conference.

“AAP national convenor Kejriwal has come out of jail after defeating the BJP’s conspiracy. Now he is fully prepared for the election campaign in Haryana and will start on September 20,” he said.

His further campaign schedule will be announced later, he added. Kejriwal resigned as Delhi chief minister after being released from Tihar jail last week in the excise policy case. He will have a hectic campaign schedule in Haryana, which goes to the polls on October 5.

The AAP is contesting all 90 seats in Haryana after talks with the Congress over a seatshare agreement broke down.

It is clear that “the BJP is going to be completely wiped out from Haryana”, Pathak claimed. The BJP has governed Haryana since 2014. “The BJP itself did not trust its chief minister, so they removed Manohar Lal Khattar and made Nayab Singh Saini the new chief minister. The question that arises is why did the BJP need to bring in a new chief minister in the last year (of its term)?” Pathak asked.

Alleging that unemployment was at its peak in Haryana and inflation was recordbreaking, he stressed that there was rampant “misgovernance” in the state.

“Haryana first gave a chance to one party for five years, then to another for 10 years and then 10 years to a third party. Haryana gave a chance to all the parties, there is no party in Haryana that can say they have not got A chance. No one can complain,” Pathak said.

Claiming that the other parties failed to serve the people, he said the voters were fed up with all the outfits.

“This time, for the first time, Arvind Kejriwal has come to Haryana with AAP. So, a new and great option for change is in front of the people of Haryana. They have seen the work done by AAP in Punjab, and have seen the government of Delhi. After seeing everything, the people will go for a change and vote for Arvind Kejriwal’s new and honest politics,” he said.

Elections to the 90member Haryana Assembly will be held on October 5 and the results declared on October 8.

  • Third Eye: Aligning political stars of Delhi & Jharkhand; rains spoil the roadshow

Jharkhand and Delhi seem to be matching politically in quite a few aspects and are likely to share a similar poll calendar as 2025 ushers in. The fate of their chief ministers is also similar with both having landed in jail. One key difference however remains Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren resigned before his arrest while Champai Soren kept his seat warm until he got bail while as Kejriwal stayed put in the hot seat and has chosen to resign only after he was granted bail.

  • Yogi Adityanath’s Statement On Gyanvapi A Response To Akhilesh’s PDA Formula? DNA Decodes |

In today’s DNA analysis, we’ll break down a recent statement by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During a public event, Yogi claimed, “Gyanvapi is none other than Lord Vishwanath himself.” This has sparked controversy, with some questioning why a Chief Minister would make such a remark when the matter is still in court. On one hand, the statement is being viewed as provocative, while on the other, it is seen as Yogi’s response to Akhilesh Yadav’s PDA (Progressive Democratic Alliance) strategy. But what is the deeper meaning behind Yogi’s words? We’ll explore this in DNA today.

Yogi stated, “Unfortunately, people refer to Gyanvapi as a mosque today, but Gyanvapi is truly Lord Vishwanath.” With by-elections approaching in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav is attempting to gain ground using his PDA formula. Many believe Yogi Adityanath is trying to counter this strategy with his own approach.

What Does Yogi’s Statement Signify? Hitting Two Targets with One Arrow? On one level, Yogi’s statement emphasized unity and integrity under the banner of Gyanvapi. Simultaneously, many believe that he was also aiming to consolidate his core voter base.

Since the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Yogi has frequently referenced Kashi and Mathura in his speeches. It’s now believed that after Ayodhya, Yogi has set his sights on the Kashi agenda.

However, this statement has stirred reactions. Some have been offended by it, especially Maulanas, who have strongly opposed the Chief Minister’s remarks. On the other hand, Hindu religious leaders have rallied in support of Yogi Adityanath.
