  • UP bus accident: CM Sai sent a team to ensure better treatment for the injured, instructed doctors to take proper care

    New Delhi. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has given instructions to make better arrangements for the treatment of pilgrims from Durg district injured in the bus accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. The Chief Minister has directed Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Lundra MLA Prabodh Minj and Residential Commissioner New Delhi Shruti Singh to visit Shikohabad District Hospital and Firozabad Medical College, so that the injured pilgrims can get the necessary facilities from the state government for treatment.

    The Chief Minister has spoken to the district administration and instructed the doctors to take proper care. Necessary instructions have also been given to the senior officials. Let us tell you that a bus full of 65 pilgrims who had gone on a pilgrimage from Durg district of Chhattisgarh met with an accident in Nasirpur on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh early this morning. Three pilgrims died in this accident. Also, about 40 pilgrims were injured. The injured pilgrims are being treated at Shikohabad District Hospital and Firozabad Medical College.

    Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, who is on a visit to Delhi, has expressed deep sorrow over this accident. He has prayed to God for the peace of the souls of the dead pilgrims and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Chief Minister has directed Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal, MLA Prabodh Minj, who is with him in Delhi, and Shruti Singh, Resident Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Bhawan in New Delhi, to go to Shikohabad District Hospital and Firozabad Medical College in Uttar Pradesh for better management of necessary help and treatment of the injured pilgrims and their families.

  • Severe heat wave wreaks havoc across the country: Heatwave kills 13 people in Mirzapur, 5 have died so far in Chhattisgarh

    Heat Wave News: Severe heat continues to wreak havoc across the country including Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh. 13 people have died in Mirzapur due to heat. These include 7 home guards, 5 civilians and 1 unknown. Treatment of 23 home guards is still going on. In Chhattisgarh, the mercury has crossed 47 degrees. So far 5 people have died here due to severe heat. 2 people have died in Bilaspur, 2 including a traffic jawan in Raipur. Apart from this, a beggar has died due to heat in Janjgir.

    A total of 23 jawans who returned from election duty were admitted to the trauma center of the divisional hospital. These included 20 home guards, one fire, one PAC and one police jawan. All of them were admitted to the trauma center after their condition deteriorated during election duty. Medical college principal Raj Bahadur Kamal said that fever and high blood pressure could be the cause of death of 13 election workers in Mirzapur, although the exact cause is being ascertained.

    On the other hand, the Principal of the Medical College, Dr. RB Kamal said that a total of 23 jawans have come to us, out of which one is from PAC, one is from fire service and one is from police, the remaining 20 were home guard jawans. 6 home guard jawans have died. Two jawans are still in critical condition. Regarding the death of the jawans, he said that when they came to us, they had high fever, sugar level and BP were very high. The reason for their death can also be brain stroke.

    Two employees also died in Sonbhadra

    Meanwhile, in UP’s Sonbhadra district, two polling personnel have died due to heat stroke. Sonbhadra DM Chandra Vijay Singh said, “Today a polling team was to leave from the dispatch center of Robertsganj. Three polling officers including a policeman fell ill due to heat. Two polling officers died. The CMO said that heat stroke-like symptoms were seen in the polling officers brought here.”
