  • Farmers of India closed: demonstrations taking place in the country, CM Kejriwal under house arrest

Amid the Bharat Bandh called by farmers against the agriculture law, the common man has made a big charge. AAP says that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been placed under house arrest. Ever since Arvind Kejriwal has returned from the Indus border, since last day, the situation of house arrest has been maintained.

The Aam Aadmi Party says that security has been increased outside the house and is no longer being allowed to come out. Due to this, all the meetings of Delhi CM have been canceled.

The Aam Aadmi Party gave information by tweeting that Delhi Police has arrested Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at home, Chief Minister has been under house arrest since yesterday when he went to the border.

AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said that Singhu met farmers at the border. AAP had said that we will serve them like servants and support them. After his return, Delhi Police barricaded his residence from all sides. He has been arrested at the behest of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said, this is not a political prisoner. This is our feeling. Farmers’ organizations agitating in Delhi have not carried any political flag. It is our duty that we stand in unity with the farmers and stay connected with their feelings. No politics is happening here nor should it happen. He further said, if the government has the heart, then the Home Minister or the Prime Minister himself should go and talk to the farmers.

  • CM Kejriwal expresses support for farmers, says peaceful protest is Constitutional right

Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday came out in support of Punjab farmers and their protest against the Centre’s recently passed farm laws, saying that peaceful protest was a Constitutional right and the use of water cannons against them was a crime.

“All the three farming Bills (now Acts) of the Central government are anti-farmer. Instead of withdrawing these, farmers are being prevented from holding peaceful demonstrations, water cannons are being turned on them. This crime against farmers is absolutely wrong. Peaceful protest is their Constitutional right,” Kejriwal tweeted.

This comes after the police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse farmers gathered at Shambhu border, near Ambala in Haryana, to proceed to Delhi to stage a demonstration against Centre’s farm laws that were passed earlier in September.

Earlier in the day, police personnel were deployed at the border in anticipation of the farmer’s protests. Police are using drones to monitor the situation.

Security has also been tightened at the Delhi-Haryana border near Faridabad and Singhu village. Forces from at least two police stations, besides three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) battalions, have been deployed at the Delhi-Faridabad border.
