The Delhi Police on Friday knowledgeable the excessive courtroom that the loss of life of a farmer whose tractor overturned in the course of the tractor rally on Republic Day was as a consequence of shock and hemorrhage on account of head harm, and never as a consequence of any gunshot harm. The police said this within the standing report filed in a petition moved by deceased Navreet Singh’s grandfather looking for a court-monitored SIT probe into the loss of life. He asserted that Navreet Singh was allegedly shot by the policemen, as a consequence of which he misplaced management of the tractor.
Navreet Singh died on January 26 after his tractor overturned after ramming into police barricades in the course of the tractor rally. The accident was captured on a CCTV digicam.
“As per the opinion of the panel of doctors which conducted the post-mortem, the cause of death is shock and hemorrhage as a result of ante-mortem head injury. The death is not due to any gunshot injury,” the standing report said.
A panel of three medical doctors, particularly Mohammad Zubair, Dashrath Singh and Manoj Kumar Shukla, performed the autopsy at 2 a.m. on January 27.
“The doctors did an X-ray before conducting the post-mortem. The X-Ray plates prima facie showed that there was no gunshot injury in the body of the deceased,” the police advised the courtroom.
It is pertinent to say right here that the medical doctors who performed the autopsy had been medical specialists and there’s no substantive floor to query their efficiency or responsibility, the police added.
The plea by Navreet Singh’s grandfather Hardeep Singh had searched for a court-appointed and monitored Special Investigation Team probe. It additionally sought the SIT to file periodic standing stories to make sure a time-bound, court-monitored investigation.
The petition mentioned the forensic specialists, who reviewed the outline of accidents within the autopsy report, independently opined that the accidents had been according to firearm or gunshot wounds and couldn’t have resulted from the tractor overturning.
